Okay so i have a question that i am kind of ashamed to ask.

I have been seeing alot of bucks with there velvet hanging off. So my question is, does the velvet just fall off or do the deer rub it of.

if they do rub it off will i be able to see the rub, or with the antler not be hard enough to scrape the bark off.

don't ever be ashamed to ask ????rub it off n you should see the rubs on the tree's

Yes the velvet will dry and begin to just fall off but unsally the bucks will rub the horns on trees to get it off. This is the reason why you may get a photo with a buck in full velvet one night and the next night he will be in hard horn. If you are lucky you may get a shot of a buck with pieces hanging off or maybe even horns that appear bloody. The only dumb question is the one not asked. Good Luck![up]
