I have been scouting the birds for weeks. Figuring out there travel patterns and there roasting areas. I had it all figured out and new where i would be going on opening morning. The sunday before i decided i would go build myself a ground blind. I had got to the spot and found the perfect tree to build my blind around. I used old brush and sticks that i could find around the area and i was set. Monday morning was an early start at 430 am. I arrived at my spot at 530 to find two guys in my blind.[wallmad] This is public land so i talk to them and said i could go somewhere else but they said they would leave since i work hard on the blind. I thank them and they went on there way to a different location. As daylight came there wasnt a single gobble to be heard. I had been doing calling sessions all morning long with out a single word from a turkey. At 745 i was thinking about going to a different spot where i knew there was turkeys the day before. At that time i did a quick scan and seen a tom strutting fifty yards to my left in the brush. At that time he made his way through the brush to the field that i was set up on. When he hit the edge of the field i gave him a couple soft clucks with my mouth call and he turned and seen my decoys. At that time he came right in. I took the shot at about 25 yards and the bird went straight down.
