Saturday - attached The Claw treestand straps to my stand.

The straps that came with my stand were ill-fitting and plain goofy.

The Claw straps went on easy and made it a little more comfortable.

Let's face it - 22 lbs of metal on your back is cumbersome and the wrong straps will make it painful.

I looked pretty funny walking around my neighborhood with this thing on.

However.... I'm considering bungees to keep my stand together rather than tri-loop or whatever they call the sliding buckle strap thing.

Bungees, anyone?

One vote for bungees -

Yoda4x4 - I'm looking into the motorcycle netting as an accessory.

I use bungees to hold my climbers together and use to strap clothing and pack onto frame as well. I use the 6-8" ones. You can find them in most dollar stores. There quick and easy. I use one's with Plastic hooks if possible and use mo hair sticky back to cover hard surfaces to help prevent any plinks etc.

I can't understand why the manufacturers can't use a bungee like device included rather than the cinch straps.][mad]

C'mon treestand makers, it ain't rocket science![mad]

Paul,

I use these (or something exactly like them):
Rope Ratchet

They can be bought at Lowe's for pretty cheap. Get the smaller version, rated at like 100 lbs. You won't need the larger ones.

I use old military pack fram shoulder straps.
You can purchase them fairly cheap and they will fit on any treestand.

I'm happy with the Claw straps. Keeping the stand compact for packing is the issue.

Still leaning towards short bungees.

My stand came with a bungee. However, I took it off one day and lost it. I haven't picked up another one. I need to though.
