talked to hunter ed today they told me south and central should be up in the next day or so.

at least knee but hips would be better. in the early part of the season I always wear hip because of the dew and kneeling on the ground

Take a good set of dikes home depot has Kline 9 inch linemen pliers for 29 to 34 bucks get a good set. c7 type cable cutters and a good knife small 3 or 4 inch blade.

I have never seen c7 cutters in Home Cheapo but they do have cable cutters that work just fine.
OK that's what I was getting at, figure if I can get both at the same place the easier it will be for me.

Even if you never set a snare after getting your certificate....You will learn alot during the class.
I hope to set some snares a couple weeks after the course!! I won't even try to keep up with you though. [hihi]

I use my klines to cut cable but the c7 type cable cutter is needed to get the snare off the critter if you want to turn loose. depot has a pair my son uses them and likes them me I prefer c7

dicks has hip boots for next to nothing

the tool you will need to use more than anything else is your head.

I'll look around and see what I can find and keep an eye out for the c7. I have to use my head?! Oh man, I don't know about that. [rofl]

I picked my C7's up at the convention at Space Farm's last year. I think it is the 1st Sunday in October. If you can't wait and can't find them anywhere else, there are dozens of trapping supply places you can get them from online. Try Snare Shop, Snare One, Cocolamus Creek, etc.
