Well... two weeks... and zero pictuers taken. I've had 3 misfires in 3 outings. Frustrating. For some reason the camera is just not taking pictures.

Definitely something is wrong with the camera.

what kinda cam? hows it set up etc? How high?

OK ! First double check all batteries . That is the number one problem .

False pictures this time of year with a PIX board is heat and branches moving or the tree the cam is mounted on moving . Turn the sensitivity pot down in hot months .

Set the cam up in your ward and walk past it . Check it that way .

I turn the camera on... full battery charge.

I then hook it up to the Pixcontroller board.

I turn on the board...everything appearts to be fine.

After serveral minutes... the camera just turns off.

Have you checked battery volts ? I would check that first and do not go by the battery bar . Is the walk test mode working fine and then it shuts down ?
