Hey everyone. I need a little help with buying and setting up a trail camera. I looking for a model with a infrared flash.

And this is important, I want to mount it high up in the tree above the trail to prevent theft as well as securing it with a lockbox and chain. (you can't be too careful).

Any advice about what to look into or how to mount it like this would be appreciated.

PS. I would like to spend around $250 or less for the cam itself and would like daytime colour pics.

Well I have the wildgame innovation infrared flash and i hate it.... Most of the of the pictures are blurry and the shutter speed is slow so i get a lot of ass's when deer walk by.

I have 2 of the Wildgame Innovations and I like them. I think theyr'e the 2.0. Only time they suck is at twilight when they take over exposed pictures. I bolt a piece of flat stock on the back and run a Python cable through the holes. Keeps someone from walking off with it. Doesnt keep them from smashing it though.
Camera at Dicks $60
Python cable $20
Flat Stock free

If theft is a real problem dont spend over $150.00.

I like to buy mine from a store with a good return policy like dicks or cabelas because lemons are common.

Cabelas reviews and chasinggame will get you headed in the right direction.
