The debate rages on bears and peaceful co-existence

Had she been asked a year ago whether she favored another bear hunt in New Jersey, Margo Spilotras would have replied that she was uncertain.
But that was before an incident two weeks ago, when she exited the shower, clad only in a towel, to find two bears rummaging through the kitchen of her home in Vernon.
That was before Spilotras had to throw a sneaker at a 125-pound bruin that had its snout in containers of Cheerios and Oreo cookies.
