If you guys on NJ have never shot a crossbow you should really try it and they Are not more accurate then a bow when shooting them free hand and have a kill range of only 50yards with the same arrow drop as a bow.

I own xbows and I would have to disagree. With little or no practice my excalibur equinox can shoot better than my mathews. And I don't have to draw and hold while game is in range, just breathe and squeeze.

But you still have to check all your ranges with a crossbow and they get heavy when trying to free hand.
But on a rest they will shoot 1 inch groups at 50yards.But i would not shoot any farther than that because off the loss of kinetic energy with a little cross bow bolt.

i shot a crossbow for the first time a few weeks ago, I'm gonna stick with my switchback xt but its a lot of fun...
