First, thanks to ALL who helped in getting this through--UBNJ, TANJ, NJOA, and everyone else who faxed, emailed, and called, and pestered their friends to do the same. It's OURS. [drinking][up]

Second, stop and think about HOW the governor dealt with this and what it meant. He could have vetoed it, or sent it back for amendment, or he could have let it pass on its own without a signature. He chose to SIGN it--the most powerful and positive thing he could do.

That says he knows WE SPORTSMEN are a power lobby in NJ...and we WILL be listened to in Trenton, by BOTH parties.
(The fact that it's an election year doesn't hurt either).

Now let me suggest respectfully that our governor REINSTATE THE BEAR HUNT.

In fact, go with the ORIGINAL PLAN FROM THE WHITMAN ADMINISTRATION. [up]

We've waited too long, and taking 500 or so bears in December won't properly cull the excessive bear population in New Jersey. We need a weeklong firearms season in the spring, and then open season through bow, and into the gun seasons until the appropriate quota is reached.

MONEY[up] and yes im having a [drinking] for our success[up]
What could we do to make him rethink the bear hunt like will the fish and game propose another bear hunt or wahts the deal sorry I dont understand the process. and [up][up][up] to sunday bowhunting
In my personal opinion, the only way we will get a bear hunt is by removing Corzine from office. It is common knowledge that he will not allow a bear hunt under his administration. We need to replace him with a candidate who supports the hunt and is willing to move fish and game out from under the DEP. So far Christie, Merkt, and Lonegan have all said they support these two things.[up]
