Here's the Article:

WEST MILFORD - A bear wandering in a yard killed the dog of a West Milford teenager Tuesday.
The mauling took place on Deborah Lane. Irene Sanchez Bang says her 4-year-old Jack Russell Terrier snuck out for only an instant when the bear attacked.

Bears are commonplace in the area's yards, according to neighbor Maryann Lindstrom. Her dog was also attacked by a bear a few years ago, but survived.

The neighbors agree the state should step in and quash what's become a mounting bear problem.

"It's just been getting worse and worse every year," says Lindstrom. "There's so many bears around here."

yea I read the article too. They said the bear will be shot with rubber bullets to try to make it less aggresive they say. They will not euthinze the bear becuase the dog provoked the attack. How dumb can this state be just do a hunt and get rid of some of the bears already[wallmad][wallmad][wallmad]

rememeber this is NJ it's not the bears fault. Think about it the bear that attacked the man over his sandwich it wasn't the bears fault. The dog Provoked the bear again not the bears fault. The fault always seems to lie on Humans and the pets. Never will a bear be at fault for trying to survive in NJ. remember it will be our fault if something else happens with a bear. It's our fault the population is expanding. I guess it's our fault we are not allowed to control the population with a hunt.
