State agency to unveil new system for purchasing licenses

Those attending last week's meeting of the state Fish and Game Council got to see the future of buying hunting and fishing licenses in New Jersey. To George Howard, the future appeared more functional than futuristic.
Howard, conservation director of the New Jersey Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs, said the so-called "point-of-sale" (POS) unit presented at the council meeting "looked like a cross between an adding machine and a computer."
