My 41/2 year old is getting worse then me. All he want's to do is shoot his bow. Can't wait to take him hunting with his own bow in 5 more years. I took him out this year in a blind and was good for the first hour. Then bordum set in but he made it through 2 1/2 hours of hunting,And loved it..

Great picture!!! I bought my little guy a Matthews Genesis from Matty. It is going to be a Christmas present. I plan on taking him out and sitting in a ground blind during the antlerless season. I want to make sure there's plenty of deer action going on so that is why I chose that day for our first deer hunting outing. I really commend you on involving him at this young age in a noble and wholesome activity that is an American heritage... More should be doing the same!!!

Just don't make the mistake I made and burn him out. My sons are 25 & 27 now. From the time they were 10 they were out hunting every weekend. Teenage boys need time to hang out with there friends and troll for girls etc.

Now my younger son has almost no interest in hunting. My older son that lives in Chicago still hunts, but only pheasants.
