Anybody plan on hunting in zone 15 this season? I haven't been out scouting yet, I usually wait till the flocks start to gather.

I was going to but due to lack of time I'll probably hunt a little in zone 20 instead. Do you hunt public or private land in zone 15?

Mostly private in the Buena/Folsom area.Hunting pressure has tripled in the last couple years.I don't even get a permit for A week anymore.The other weeks are just as good and less people.

Yea, hunting pressure in South NJ has really picked up for turkeys. The last fours years I've applied for either A week, or the Saturday segment for the first lottery and only gotten my permit once. Hoping to do better this year, but it seems like whether I apply for A week, or Saturdays, I don't get drawn. I know alot of hunters who didn't get the Saturday segment last year, and it's getting harder to find private land to hunt turkeys on, just like deer.

I don't even apply for an A week permit due to the pressure out there.I figure if I'm not going to enjoy it,why go?Weeks B - D are much less crowded and the birds are still responsive.
