I just finished splitting some logs and using the chainsaw. Man... I am beat... I need to catch up on some of the comments/suggestions/ideas. [up]

I hear that, I had to help my brother cut and split 2-3 cords each spring to get ready for winter in PA.

I've got about 4 cords of rounds ready to be split. Maybe Sunday afternoon.

I thought about buying a splitter, but the exercise from splitting and carrying goes a long way.

Remeber Kris, splitting your own wood warms you twice.

Tis the season. I split 2 cords today. Had 2 giant trees fall last Feb. Cut them up after they fell and fired up the splitter today. Kids can stack it this weekend while I hunt. They were just crying they were bored!!

sure does wear ya down..worked for a tree service all summer long and those chainsaws do a number on you especially in those 90 degree plus days...

I cleared some brush and chainsawed and stacked logs last Sunday . Part of the deal to hunt. Not fun but it's a place to hunt. [up]

Hopefully the weather this weekend will be nice.

Hunting Saturday morning, closing up the pool and going back out in the afternoon. In between I'll the three boys, myself and four mauls swinging away.

I have 16 cords stacked and covered, did them last spring, so they would be ready to burn this winter, between my house and garage, I burn about 10 cord a year.
