Ok, I've heard about rubs, but never seen one in my life. On the way out to put my camera back up I spotted this tree 125 yards down wind from my stand.

I think this is a rub? Let me know if I'm correct.

Those are some nice rubs !!!![up], Very fresh, as you can see its still wet from the tree sap, and the flesh of the tree is whiteish in color

Dennis if you can see indentations from the tine's in the tree , then it's a rub..In the woods I hunt most all rubs are made on small oak's and cedar tree's..[up]

I don't know what kind of tree it is, it looks like a small pine tree to be honest. I know the rub is fresh because I cross that trail everytime I put corn out and have never seen that tree marked like that.

Maybe I should hunt next to it ..I'll let you kno what's doing that....

You know where the property is, and you're always welcome there Tommy. Just let me know before you go out so I can let my in-laws know not to be spooked by a new truck entering the woods.

Its tearing up by molasses corn. Hopefully I'll get him next weekend. I need to win the lottery so I can get out more.

Anytime, I only get to hunt on saturdays but your welcome to come down and check the area out.

Where do you hunt at? I have some good rubs by me also. You should hunt near them. The side the tree is rbbed on sometimes tells you where the deer are walking from. Good Luck!

From the looks on that tree, I'm guessing that should be one pretty good sized buck. That's just based on how high that rub line goes.

I hunt zone 18. This is my second season hunting, first real season because I knew absolutely nothing last year. Im still a deer virgin. So the side the rub is on would be the side they are coming from or going? I know where this guy sleeps, and I know where this guy eats (my corn pile). Hopefully ill catch a few pics of him on my stealth cam i put out tonight. And hopefully me or my buddy will have him mounted in a few weeks

This bucks making me think of ways to get out of work, I might need an ambien to get to sleep tonight
