In Long Hill Township, police reported six bear sightings this season, while Warren and Watchung police departments did not have any recent bear sightings reported.

On Saturday, June 4 to Saturday, June 11, the Long Hill Police Department responded to calls to avert the presence of black bear.

The first three sightings happened on Saturday, June 4 at 8:14 p.m. on Crestwood Road in Gillette, 9:18, that same night, on Magna Drive in Gillette, and Sunday, June 5 at 5:57 a.m., police said.

Another three sightings were reported on June 10 at 11:30 a.m. on Pleasant Plains Road in Stirling, a few hours later that day at 3:38 p.m. on Central Avenue in Stirling and on Sunday, June 11 at 7:10 a.m. on Valley Road, near Dear Run, in Millington, police said.
