Snow Advisory from the National Weather Service:

/O.NEW.KPHI.SN.Y.0001.051124T0200Z-051124T1400Z/ HUNTERDON-SOMERSET-MIDDLESEX-WESTERN MONMOUTH-EASTERN MONMOUTH- MERCER-CHESTER-MONTGOMERY-BUCKS- INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...FLEMINGTON...SOMERVILLE... NEW BRUNSWICK...FREEHOLD...SANDY HOOK...TRENTON...WEST CHESTER... NORRISTOWN...DOYLESTOWN 320 PM EST WED NOV 23 2005
...SNOW ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM EST THURSDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A SNOW ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM EST THURSDAY.

A WARM FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CROSSING THE GREAT LAKES REGION WILL MOVE NORTHEAST THROUGH THE MID-ATLANTIC REGION BY THANKSGIVING MORNING. PRECIPITATION ASSOCIATED WITH THIS FRONT WILL OVER SPREAD THE REGION LATE THIS EVENING, THEN CONTINUE INTO THURSDAY MORNING. TEMPERATURES WILL BE COLD ENOUGH FOR THIS PRECIPITATION TO FALL MOSTLY AS SNOW, WITH A CHANGEOVER TO RAIN BEFORE ENDING TOWARD MORNING. 1 TO 2 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED IN THESE AREAS BEFORE THE CHANGEOVER TO RAIN OR RAIN SHOWERS.

AS THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES INTO NEW ENGLAND LATE THURSDAY, A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH THE MID- ATLANTIC REGION, USHERING IN MUCH COLDER TEMPERATURES. BY FRIDAY MORNING, TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW TO MID 20S CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA. WINDS WILL ALSO BE ON THE INCREASE. WEST WINDS BEHIND THE COLD FRONT COULD INCREASE TO 40 MPH THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND PERSIST INTO THURSDAY EVENING. WIND CHILLS WILL BE IN THE SINGLE DIGITS AND TEENS BY LATE THURSDAY NIGHT.

ALTHOUGH ONLY 1 TO 2 INCHES OF SNOW IS FORECAST TO FALL, A SNOW ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED BECAUSE THIS IS THE FIRST SNOWFALL OF THE SEASON, AND BECAUSE OF THE HIGH VOLUME OF TRAVELERS EXPECTED THIS THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY. A SNOW ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW COULD CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. IN ADDITION, ANY WET ROAD SURFACES OR PUDDLES WILL QUICKLY FREEZE THURSDAY NIGHT, CREATING DANGEROUS ICY PATCHES, AND THE STRONG WINDS THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT WON'T HELP EITHER. TRAVELERS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR ALL THESE ELEMENTS...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.

Yup, snow on the ground and it's still coming. Should be fun pheasant stocking/hunting today. [down]

Track the birds. I've taken a few that way.
