ok have a silly question. my wife is a photographer and wants to take the pics of the kids in a mountainous/lake scenario. we did it last year in blairstown but dont have the land anymore. i live in monmouth county and honestly dont want to drive anywhere for this but she lets me hunt when i want. do you guys have any very scenic area's that you could suggest?? you will make me happy by making my wife happy.thank you and good hunting [up]

Monmouth county has reservoirs, lakes, ponds, streams, rivers and ocean beaches but no mountains.

How about the Del. water gap area, along old mine rd? Very nice area, has mountains, lakes, ponds, rivers, streams, corn fields.. ect ... ect.

High point state park has a nice waterfall /lake and mountains. Also Ken Lockwood Gorge is really nice too.

I was thinking along the Delawae but down here in Hunterdon MANY places along route 29 are very scenic.
Take a ride from 295 in Trenton North to Frenchtown / Milford you should find any number of places to stop for photos also a walk along the tow path should come up with a few secnic spots.
Other spots with hills and water are several of the Hunterdon county parks and we also have one of the few coverd bridges lft in NJ too.

Prob going to stokes area.if you up there hunting and see a guy posing on the side of the road with two kids,please don't rub it in,just drive by quietly [rofl] seriously though,, any time with the kids is fine by me,maybe they will see their first bear?thanks again.

Booner, just be aware that many roads are closed in the Water Gap due to Irene and Lee. The link to road closures is not always correct, so it's best to call the park service before you go and get up to date info.

Stokes is a good choice also. If you want to see bears, take a ride in the area where the cabins are that stokes rents. Tons of bears over there..
