I like to use the Maa or Blaa sound because if they stop in the wrong spot you can usually get away with doing it 2 or 3 times b4 they spook. Also it doesnt usually spoke other deer thay my be there. Start low and go louder untill they hear it..But if the buck is chasing a doe past you may need to be more vocal with a hoot or 2....Good luck
