What do you need to bring to shoot at a wma range? Do you need a hunting license or can anybody shoot there?
You can also shoot a .22 rimfire. You need your hunting licence with at least one of you. Dont bring anything but shotguns or muzzleloaders
I believe a fishing license is also acceptableAt least one member of your group needs to be a licensed hunter.
In PA hunting or furtakers license, in NJ it has to be a hunting licenseI believe a fishing license is also acceptable
If that were true, how would anyone practice for the muzzleloader/rifle test? You also need a rifle permit along with a licence if your shooting a muzzleloader.
Only if you are practicing casting.I believe a fishing license is also acceptable
At a non-WMA range? If that were true, how would anyone practice for the muzzleloader/rifle test?
At a non-WMA range?
Can you produce any documentation to back that up??You also need a rifle permit along with a licence if your shooting a muzzleloader.
Yea I was wrong with that one.[ko] all that's needed is a valid hunting license. No rifle permit needed to shoot a muzzy or 22I believe a fishing license is also acceptable
That is the primary reason I rarely shoot at the WMA ranges. Often shooters there have no sense of firearm safety. I never shoot there this time of year. Sometimes I will pattern a turkey gun there in Feb/Mar.Don't be afraid to tell people not to touch there guns when people are downrange. Some just don't get it.
You should be doing that at the shotgun/trap range. Shotgun/MZ range is not for fine shot. I hate when guys do that, they take a shot and then want to stop the line so they can change their target, not all but enough.Sometimes I will pattern a turkey gun there in Feb/Mar.
