i have 2 sow with cubs coming to my bait all day every day.

my only thing is...and i know it's a mangement hunt..how with the cubs react??? they have been here all day everyday along with another set..

Are you baiting bear or deer? If bear, than why wouldn't you? As you said, it is a management hunt. The cubs will probably find another sow to follow.

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over the cubs' reaction. I have a feeling they are better prepared for life without Mommy than most college graduates.

Not so.

By holding the season as late in the year as NJ does, most cubs of the year are perfectly capable of surviving on their own at this point.
But be forewarned, if you take the sow, you may have to chase the cubs off afterwards. i know of a couple of instances where older cubs still refused to leave a downed sow (FYI).

Those cubs, like most at that time in NJ are plenty big to make it on their own.

The only reason a male bear would kill them is to breed the mother, who would be dead and not around. They'll be fine.
