Well at 4 am i got up jumped in the shower got dressed coffee and off i went.. to get cooler at buddies and off we go to city island NY for a striper trip.18 guys get aboard the island current(private charter $90a head) and we take a 2.5 hr ride to the armory dock in sandy hook and switch all rigs to chunk for blues??? fished 4 spots for about 20 min each.Chum slick consisted of 3 small buckets of mackril water overboard. 3.5hr ride back to the dock??? 3 blue fish on the boat all day. left dock 7:45 back 3:35... Am i crazy or did i just get HOSED[wallmad]I am not happy and cant belive i blew $90 on this crap!!!I guess this is what i get for going to the NYC to go fishing?? P.S. lost $65 playing black jack in the cabin on our 6 hr boat ride

Something sounds wrong. That ride is way too long to fish for bluefish. Usually it's an hour. Absolute max is 1 1/2 hours. Sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you. Late start time too. We left the dock at 5:05am.

$90.00 isn't the problem, the dipshit capt is the problem. I would hardly call 18 people on a boat a private charter though. 90.00 is not all that unreasonable, I usually pay double that for a quality charter of 4-6 people.

Boat ride site seeing, was specified you were going to catch? Slow boat or they conserved fuel either way rough one that sucked.

Think about when something breaks on your boat and you had a good day with fish that hurts more it really costs then.
