Has anyone tried this combination? Likely mounting a Bushnell 4200 3-9 x 40 or Vortex Viper 3-9 x 40. Both full sized scopes. Would like to go for low but may need to settle for medium height.

Thanks,
Mike

I went with base and rings from Evolution Gun Works. Call them up and tell them what you are looking to do and they will help you out. Great product and made in the USA. The majority of the ejection problems with the 220 stemmed from using the wrong base and ring combination. I have a 2.5-8 Leupold vx2 with piccatiny rail and practical rings and have no clearance issues at all.

Thanks but I'm not a big fan of using that rail as it forces you to use the higher rings so the bell doesn't hit the front of the rail. I have no idea why they don't just make the rail shorter in the front to alleviate that issue.

If I can't get the Talleys to fit, I will likely go with the Dednuts mount/rings.

Thanks,
Mike
