I am waiting on my savage 220 I order and a burris 2-7 fullfield II scope. I was wondering if anyone here has any recommendations on scope mounts burris didnt have any for the 220.

I have the evolution gun works mount that is perfect and made for savage. 20 bucks if u want it. its still in the box

I went with the leupold one piece base and extension rings. I prefer this system over a weaver style base for a couple reasons. You can use the set screws on the base to make your windage adjustments, giving you maximum elevation. With the one piece base you can use medium rings instead of highs (bringing the scope axis closer to the barrel) This makes your rig inherently more accurate (less likely to cant the gun)
