I'm just learning the land myself but any time you want to take a walk back there let me know! I just got back from a nice 2 hour walk! I found the tracks (10 different sets) all in the same area I found them 2 snow storms ago! Plus I could tell where they crossed after the last snow and no matter where they start or go they come together in a 70 yard across bottle neck! I have a pretty good Idea where I will be setting up next year! This is all in one tiny corner of this big WMA! I know 4 or 5 other spots that are good as well! I saw a red fox today also! The little bugger ran down a hill straight at me then freaked when he saw me and hauled [no swearing please] in the other direction! It was a great walk! [up]

Welcome to the forums Russ!

Great Place and Great People...stick around. [up] :)

By the way, I didnt think there were any deer in Montclair! :p

Just kidding:D

I used to live in Verona which isnt very far from Montclair, and I used to see some deer on occasion, but nothing like some areas.

Have a good one, and once again, welcome aboard---Matt:)

Jim, hunted Wildcat my last time out this past bow season. Didnt see any deer but saw about 10 turkey and walked up on a coyote. Next time you plan on scouting around up there I would like to join you. I live in Pequannock so its only a 15 - 20 min. ride. I plan on hunting that area this season and could use some scouting tips. (This past season was my first season hunting, so I'm looking for all the help I can get)

Hey Matty, if you know the area also I could use all the help I can get.
