I shot them Monday through my T/C Encore .20 ga. while trying out 10 different slugs. They shot ok, have some punch to them but did not shoot as well as 2 other brands out of my gun.
I would say try them on paper and if they shoot well out of your gun they should be a good slug load.

I shot Remington's Buckhammer in 2.75 and 3", Copper Solid, and Ultra Bonded.
Lightfields EXP
Winchester Standard Sabot, Supreme Partition Gold
Federal Premium 2.75" and their Premium Vital Shok W/Barnes Expander bullet in 3"
Brenneke

Winners were the Remington 2.75" Copper Solid, the Lightfields and the Federal 3" load with the Barnes bullet.
All held 3 shot groups in a 3" targ dot at 100 rds. The Federal was the best with under 2" but I opted for the Remington and Lightfields for use as they both shot the same point of impact where as the Federal load shot about 8" higher.

This way I have 2 loads that shoot identical that I can use. If I use the Federal, I'd only be able to use that load as I would have to sight the scope in for that load.

I should add that all of the tested ammo in my gun would be acceptable out to 100 yds or so except the one Win load. They all shot 4" groups. The winners just shot a bit better.

Has anyone tried the Federal Tru-ball slugs?
