Anyone else hear this? A buddy of mine said that South Amboy, Laurence Harbor and Keyport area's are closed to fishing because of some kind of contamination. Can anyone shed some light on this? [confused]

And not only that but if those areas are contaminated would'nt it spread with the tide moving? [confused][confused][confused]

yes they want to close a few beachs in and around south amboy area from what i read but you will still be able to fish RB ,The whol catamanation is nothing new they known about it for very many years.

The dumped a bunch of lead slag. They were getting concentrations of lead that you could almost melt and cast from.

wow how much effect does this have on the fish? i'm mainly a fresh water fisherman but have gotten hooked on striper fishing and i dont want to eat these fish if they are that bad.

The fish aint bad they migrate. The shore line is bad it been for many years.

I don't think the fish have been affected but we will know more as they continue doing tests. The areas have been fast tracked to become superfund sites.

Youre right The bay is sespool, DO NOT fish Raritan bay, I say agian Stay far away from raritan Bay!!!
