I have seen a very ratty looking fox a lot lately.

The poor creature has no fur on its rear quarters and this afternoon just stared at me as though wanting me to end its misery. i was sorely tempted because even though a fox is vermin it still shouldn't have to suffer like that, right?

The only issue is would this be legal? I do not need an ass raping from NJF&W ever and as no good deal goes unpunished I thought that I would check out the legality of this move first.

Does anyone know what the deal is here?

If you are hunting you can legaly shoot it.

If it is menacing your domestic animals you can shoot it.

You cannot just shoot it because it has mange. Even tho that is stupid it is the law.

But I can't see a CO giving you a hard time about putting a suffering animal down. Just never know.
