Winter flyfishing is great. Slow and deep is typically the ticket. Small 18-20 princes, phesant tails or gold ribed hares ears work well. On a warmer day and 18 little black stone emerger will work well. Occasionally I like to throw a really big 6-8 stone nymph to entice a big bite!
