My question is are the birds likley to hold better or worse due to less cover with snow.Will they run on top of the snow or hunkerdown in what cover they are near.Refering to stocked birds not wild.

i think they will be holding tight in hedgerows/treelines...gives them cover from the hungry predators...

Thanks Mack was thinking about going out tomorrow afternoon on club property in zone 11 to give dog some work.She hasn't been out in a week since deer this week.

also they might hold becasue they might be wet from the snow...they hate flying when they are wet because they are heavier and cant control themselves as well while in flight.

only thing is with less cover due to snow matted down a lot of brush the birds will be in the thick stuff and the ones that arent will see you comming from a mile away
