I already have been in contact with Maine, it is not considered guiding, 1) We don't see any money from the guys 2) New Yorks way more strick with there guide policy and have done it there before. I'm presently doing the guide cl [no swearing please] for Maine and New York. The only probrem with NY is the residency. I'm working this out with my lawyer. Also, NH has very strict laws. Believe me I have cover our A** on this. With the way people are today, if someone trips over a tent cord they would sue. I'm cover with insurance both tort and gear. Plus, in order for anyone to take part they have to sign a couple of releases. Other then that it's a great time. The guy who was charged with guiding without a liscense made his first mistake was when he put bait out for the other guys. Basically all we are doing is letting people share our camp. Giving them basic info of what's in the area. They have to fill out a free application. Some of our trips are pretty strenous we don't discriminate, but have to cover ourselves. Thanks for the tip JJoe.

PS It's ashame this day and age that you have to go through so much legal BS to go hunting or fishing with a couple of new friends. This is what happens when people don't follow the golden rule. I'm a firm believer in an "I4NI". That what I have on all my gear instead of my name.
