New Jersey Hunter Picnic.

DATE AND TIME:

Guys and gals, the picnic is a go for SUNDAY AUGUST 21st. 8am-4pm.

We have use of two picnic areas. The primary one is just on the other side of the front parking lot, and within a short distance of the archery range. The second one is to the side of the trout raceways. Both are well shaded.

ACTIVITIES:

Children may be interested in, and are free to use the observation deck looking over the trout hatchery. The building will be open from approximately 9am-4pm. Self-guided tours are available during the hours of 10-4.

There will also be a 3D archery shoot (FREE) so bring your bow! (10am-3pm) No registration!

A fly-fishing cl [no swearing please] will also be in session the same day. You must sign up for the fly-fishing cl [no swearing please] in advance. (more info can be found on the divisions website)*BEGINNING FLY CASTING - Sunday, August 21 at 12 noon - Wildlife Conservation Corps members from Central Jersey Chapter of Trout Unlimited will conduct this seminar for inexperienced fly fishers. An excellent opportunity to improve your casting skill. For ages 12 and up. Registration required.

THINGS TO BRING:

Grills are NOT provided, but we may bring our own. Fire pits/charcoal fires are also permitted (but there are no pits provided, and ash must be "dead" before burying it in the woods.

Food will NOT be provided, so bring what you want to eat and drink. IF you are bringing something out of the ordinary, please try to bring enough for others to try some. Also, I am going to try and bring some extra hamburgers and hot-dogs. This way if non-members show up, they can have a complimentary hamburger or hotdog. If someone else would like to help out with that, they could contact me and offer to bring something such as buns, cheese, or soda, etc. The more people we can get to come and have a good time, the better.

We can possibly increase the membership of Newjerseyhunter.com and also increase the popularity of the 3D course. Both Mrs. Dunne and I agreed that this is a win-win situation for both groups. Please come out and show your support for both NewJerseyHunter.com and for the Division of Fish & Wildlife.

Drag... can you have a lot of cards made up to be left at the info window for everyone that comes in? You or Matty can ask Mrs. Dunne if they can be put out for who ever wants one.

Farmers Sportsmans Club is having their 3D Jamboree on that same Sunday. But if you shoot early you could probably make both.
