HOLY CRAP is all I can say... Seems like this Thanksgiving was MORE intense than EVER....

Hit of Colliers Mills this morning got there right at 1st light. Once it started (6:55) all hell broke loose... It was like WWIII out there... In all my years of hunting there I have never seen so many guys and kids... Guess everybody came out of the wood work this morning... Me and my 3 buddies got 4 birds. My buddies dog was awesome this morning.

Happy Thanksgiving to All. Hope you eat good, be merry and enjoy your time with family and friends....

Went to Howardsville and missed three birds without a dog. Then hit up Greenwood Forest for some quail, endend up being a long walk. Good to be out there though. Happy Thanksgiving [drinking] Time for some drinks.

Same at Flatbrook. I almost went off on a guy that pepper me and my dog. Is a hen really that worth it?

My friends truck got shot full of birdshot.First shot... front driverside door and the second shot rear quarterpanel. The shooters response... I should have let the bird get up and out away from me but I was worried someone else would get him.

Just wow ! And the guy even acknowledged his negligence. I hope your friend had this guy arrested and his license revoked indefinately. What if someone was sitting in the vehicle ?[down][down][down][mad]

Same here this was my first year out for thanksgiving and I have decided its not worth it. I was in the field at 6:50 and not 5 min latter it was all hell broke loose like you said. I felt pellets raining down on me. I was working solo and working hard at it all I wanted was to get one. I knew some where in a area so I was working it hard I finally flush one, im about to take a shot and BAM, right in my ear. A guy behind me takes it. I figure ok theres more, walk farther and again it happens but a different person. I walked for another 2 hours and didnt see a thing. They say they released 540 birds today at Clinton WMA I didnt hear that many shots, so im headed back out tomorrow hopping it will be less crowded and maybe get a shot at one.

I should have let the bird get up and out away from me but I was worried someone else would get him.
Like I stated it sucks I flush a bird and a trigger happy person takes it. I dont mind others taking a shot at a bird but at least wait till after I shoot once.

I guess I'm pretty lucky to hunt in a club and stock our own pheasant. I don't think I would ever go back after getting rained on with that much bird shot. I was lucky enough to get 3 birds on my semi-wild property today. It also being my birthday today, I'm having a great day. I really don't know how you guys do it every day with the idiots at the state lands. I've also hunted my club's property ever since I was 13 or so. Now I'm 30 and never have set foot on state property but have heard stories but I never thought it was that bad. What are some of these people thinking???

No wasn't raining pellets. I was at the end of a field (no brush) and they (yes 2) fired. Hit me and after getting home noticed Autumn was missing fur. Fortunately no blood.

Flatbrook had 42 cars in one parking area. We counted.
