I have always been a sunrise, stocking day pheasant hunter. Have any of you guys waited until the afternoon after the crowds have left or gone on non-stocking days? How about late season? I am trying to expand the time I go. How do you guys do? I am also hoping to get my pup out at the end of the season, depending on progress.

I've gone back in the afternoon some times and picked up birds. Also have gone on Fridays and picked some up. Just have to work harder at it. But the dogs love the time out and so do I.

When I had my dog I would go about 11am and always get birds. Without a dog not as succesful

230, that was one thing I was wondering about. I dont have a dog, do you think I'll get 2 pheasants just by kicking them up if I go first thing??
