i got one and i love it..we stand in the middle of a field and cackle a couple of times and when the birds cackle back, we locate them..anybody else have one of these? if so, what brand? i have a quaker boy call..

never really tought they worked but now i'm curious...are they hard to learn to use them properly
no all you do is put two of your fingers on the end of call and blow doing little chirps....

They work for released birds? I didn't think they'd respond to a challenge like a wild bird would.
of course it does. thats how birds locate each other...youve never heard pheasants (stocked) calling...

if you get the call you will. just keep calling and theyll keep answering. thats how we locate them.
Very true they do work I have used them in the past. Pheasant like to flock up and when they hear another Pheasant they will try to locate it by calling back till they find eachother same with Quail
