Its official. I made up my mind to hunt in PA this year. My family owns some prime property since the 50s in Bucks county. Yeah... huge houses mostly surround the property... but in PA the safety zone is 50 yards w/a bow. I will be right up near the houses. Licenses go on sale 7/1 via the web.

Up in Carbon county for bear and turkey... sure. I'll probably only do one or two days for bear. The zone is a high bear zone... so hopefully it will be like last year's bear season... it overlaps with buck...so you can shoot a buck or a bear.

P.S. - I'll most likely be using my rifle.

drag, I hunt northampton county, on the border of bucks, Let me tell you, there are BIG deer in Bucks county, and with the antler restrictions, you have a good chance at a 120 cl [no swearing please] or above buck

My family owns property that is like 5 miles away from federal land (ive stopped and check out the signs, that permits hunting) in the bushkill area. Hows the public hunting lands up there anyone know?

Bushkill, poconos area, they have a house in the pocono ranch lands, tons of deer come up right behind the house but you cant hunt on the pocono ranch lands.

But on the ride up there when we turn off the main road, i always see federal forest signs, and the ranger at the delaware valley park told me its 100% ok to hunt the land. I didnt find this out until january. I may have to hunt the land in beginning of archery season. Just have to figure the regs, dates and go scouting and figure out where to park my car while hunting. Its like a 5 mile walk to the first federal signs, on the two lane road going through the mountain with no shoulders ;)
