HARRISBURG - Two days of bear hunting have produced a preliminary harvest of 2,875 bears, the largest two-day preliminary harvest total ever posted in the Commonwealth.

Pennsylvania Game Commission employees processed 854 black bears on Tuesday, the second day of state's three-day bear season. In 2004, agency personnel processed 2,262 bears on the first two days of season, 2,299 in 2003; and 2,022 in 2002. In 2000, when the state record bear harvest was set, the two-day total was 2,559....

almost 3,000 bears in 2 days, thats amazing. Know just think of the numbers we will produce here in NJ in 10 days. PA is a great state, I got to hunt it one day. Is that bear chocalate in color, or just light black?

"35", maybe they all came over the river to NJ to be safe, oh and get a few nibbles on my treestand
