Me, Hoyt Hunter and SQ2hunter headed out this morning in hopes of getting Hoyt Hunter his first turkey. We walked about 10 miles and only heard one distant gobble for our efforts. Well it came to 11:15 and we decided to try one more spot on our way home. Well we ended up having 6 jakes come running to the call and shortly thereafter Hoyt Hunter broke his turkey cherry. The other 5 Jakes stayed attacking the downed bird so after 15 minutes i decided that being i never killed a turkey with my bow and i had it with me, i would take the opportunity so i picked out the biggest one and smoked him at 20 yards, the remaining birds had thier way him also. All the action was caught on video. what an awesome end to our tough morning.
