I cant belive its been a year already since I joined the army...Looking back I've changed alot! This coming August I'm deploying to Afgahnastan with 82nd 4th BCT I honestly can't wait! Plus today I got promoated to PFC[up] 3 years and 19 weeks to go!

I did sort of the same thing back 30 years ago (!), while things were tense, there was no shooting. I took a commission in the Navy, reverted to the active reserve after a few years.

It is a GREAT experience, which you may not fully appreciate for at least 10 years.
