I'm officially giving up on my private land. Sat from 4:30 am to 5:15 pm and not one deer. Wind was in my face, I was 25 feet in the air.

Time for a new spot.

he drome don't give up yet its just getting going i had 1 small fork this am come by and then i had a big rack 8 or 10 pt not more the 30yrds from my stand chaseing a doe at 9 30 am had no shoot to my left .This afternoon i saw zip and the 2 other guys i was hunting with had the same afternoon and we sat from 1pm till dark all about a 1/2 mile apart in colliers mills

don't give up! my dad and I hunted the morning and evening today in zone 19 on private land that is usually incredible. This is the first day that both of us didnt see atleast one deer since we started hunting the property.

I have gotten pics of some nice bucks but they only came out at night. I figured I would have to see something being out all day. I think the bucks are very slick and require a seasoned hunter, whereas this is my second season. Its just frustrating that I havent seen anything yet.

scout as much as you can and hunt even more also try to stay in your stand longer in the am and sooner inthe pm if you can some times the night time bucks will move in the middle of the day in the rut good luck ps i scout out new spots and old ones every sunday make sure you where rubber boots and keep your scent down

Its funny you say that, at about 1:30 I had a craving for a taco supreme. I got tired of eating the oatmeal apple cinnamon cereal bars I packed.

I was in my spot 5 am till 530 pm... Saw 1 8 pt at 10 30 and a doe at 5.

What part of Manchester? Theres a side entrance to the south part off of route 70, I went scouting there last winter for turkeys, seems like a decent deer area. My problem is I have private land to hunt in lakehurst and the trail cam pics are driving me insane!!!

I have 20 acres behind center ice, old blondies, we should meet up sometime.

You get any turkeys on your property? There are turkeys everywhere on ridgeway blvd, but on the kara homes land that I see they are starting to clear.
