[Dirtracing]

sat all morning and didn't see a deer.... Took lunch and got back on stand at 1pm... Ended up taking a nap at 3pm... woke up at 330 and though I saw deer way out and figured it out it was high grass moving not a tail... I run my head to the left and out of the thick beech nut and iron wood trees comes this 8pth.. He made his first scrape at a point where i couldn't see and started to make his 2nd... I hit the grunt call and it didn't phase him.... Snort wheezed and his head whipped around and stared for a few seconds then went back to whacking his antlers.... He moved forward a few steps and ate some grass... i snort wheezed again to get him out of the thick stuff for a shot... His head whipped and he took a few more steps forward... the .243 found its mark at 70yds out.... All in all was a great weekend weather wise and a great weekend at the the camp.. headed up tomorrow night to hang out around the camp and enjoy the rest of my vacation....
