So Carlo met me at my house this morning and off we went to Hkdonfishn's. Met him and realized I lost ANOTHER Pheasant stamp. So I decided to just walk with all the guys.

Anyway, we got there and waited like everyone else, and started at 8am. 1 shot from sean getting the first [no swearing please] bird, then the rest of the morning we saw or heard NOTHING!!!

We are gonna write the Fish and Game to complain. about 20+ hunters ahowed up and ALL of them complained about not seeing anything. there was maybe, 8 shots ALL morning!!!!

THIS STATE SUCKS!!!!

I almost dragged my carc [no swearing please] out to meet you guy's this morning...I'm glad I didn't now! I still can't eat anything so I would have been wiped!!!

I really did have a great time anyway though guys. It was my first time ever out in the field, I learned a lot just about how to approach a hunt like that. It was great just being out there with confidence, instead of just constantly being unsure of myself. We will hit em hard next time guys. and besides, i saw my first bear.

I was in Andover and heard 50 shots between 8:00 and 9:00AM.Not sure where they where coming from. Far off in the distance. The first 5 minutes I heard 25 - 30 shots.

where did you guys go? there was plenty of shooting in whittingham...alot of birds in the safety zone...must have seen six bird in one hedgerow in the saftey zone...

Nah, i just spotted the bear about 100 yds away. Big guy though.

I just got back from manasquan as well, no dice there. But I did get to spend some good quality time checking out the land there. I belive i will be spending many days hunting pheasant there. anyone in my area care to go next saturday?

We put up 3 birds in the late afternoon at Assunpink -- all roosters. Two were off points by my pup and one flushed under my buddy's feet while the dog was working off to our left. That was the good part...

...the bad part was one flushed toward a hilltop where we could hear a dog bell, so called "no shot", and the other two flushed toward and across the road (including one we worked from the road side of Sabre's point, to try and get him to fly into the field -- instead he came right at us!

Oh well, more birds go out Tuesday and Thursday - at least the puppy looked good!
