The deadline for submitting comments of the NJ Wildlife Action Plan has
been extended to December 31, 2005. Although the draft plan is being
submitted to the US Fish and Wildlife Service prior to that date, the
plan is a "living document" which can and will be refined, in part based
on public input.

The Wildlife Action Plan (formerly referred to as the Comprehensive
Wildlife Conservation Strategy) is a blueprint for the future
conservation of our state's species of greatest conservation need.
Having the plan will qualify New Jersey for State Wildlife Grants
program federal funds.

To view the plan and submit comments, see the information on the
Division of Fish and Wildlife Web site at
http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/ensp/waphome.htm.
