I am heading out to Pequest... I'll be there with my laptop, turkey caller, and digital camera.
Division Assistant Director and Wildlife Biologist David Chanda conducts our annual program about the state's largest (and smartest!) game bird. The Wild Turkey Restoration Project and the life history of the bird will be highlighted, as well as some hunting tips. Immediately following the seminar members of the NJ Chapter of the Wild Turkey Federation will conduct a turkey calling clinic. Registration is required for the clinic.

I just got back. I had fun and learned a lot about NJ turkeys. The F&G guy said they are importing turkeys from Arkansas that are used to salty/dry soil. Letting them loose in the pine barrens.
