i have a mossberg 835 i want to use for turkey and need advice on what kind of choke to use with heavy shot, im hoping to keep it under $75 if possible

Obviosly its best to try different chokes with every gun, however with the 835 I would look for a choke with a restriction of 670 or 675. Brand is a matter of choice. Although I do know many who like the Indian creek. Now is a good time of year to shop around you may be able to by more than one with your buget. Also I no jellyhead seem to shoot nice in many guns.

I have had good results using the carlson ported tube with Winchester elite # 5s out of my 835.

I am getting awesome results shooting hevi shot through a Pure Gold .675 out of my 835...putting up some great patterns

these are 10" patterns at 40yds

thanks for the advice i wish i could rent a bunch of different chokes to try them out before i bought them but it doesnt quite work that way

I'm convcinced every gun barrel and choke pattern differently, no matter what make. If you're having trouble finding the right choke/shot combination, give this guy a call:
