As a kid I used that stuff to wash my hands as I got so dirty, It's called Boraxo(same stuff). That and Lava soap kept the towels less stained , and my ass less red. Back then it was called upbringing, now its called child abuse.[sad]

It's called Boraxo(same stuff).

Do NOT try & substitute Boraxo for borax! Although Boraxo contains borax it also contains detergents....unless the fish you're going after like soap...stick to the borax...it's about $5 a box.

You want to buy whats labeled "20 Mule Team Borax" in the laundry detergent aisle at supermarkets. That stuff is just borax and no added detergent. It's also good to use in swimming pools as well.

Sorry for the mix up I always was under the impression from what I have read that the Boraxo was the same brand as the"20 Mule Team Borax". In my defense it has been over 40 years.[confused]
