WOW! First time ever hunting on the ground today and i think I want to sell my tree stands!. I took advice from a bunch of you and I grabbed a net face mask (thank you) and headed out to take my girlfriend on her first hunt and boy did we have a great morning!. We saw 6 deer this morning and came a few steps away from getting my eab doe!, unfortunately we either got winded or the leaf my hat kept hitting from shaking so much spooked em would have been a perfect 17 yard shot had she taken those few steps. None the less great hunt and psyched for the afternoon sit.

Great job seeing a deer close in while you are on the ground. You might want to wear some gloves. Those hands look like a light beacon giving your position away.

Had my best hunt ever in a natural ground blind during shotgun 2 years ago in a snow storm......the buck I took is the one taking a ride in the chevy in my avatar picture
