Here's a few pictures of my son's 1st outing. Pictures were taken along the Little Pigeon River in Pigeon Forge, TN last week while we were on vacation.

These we actually taken on the 2nd trip to the river, as the first day he was more interested in throwing rocks in the water than fishing. We kept the sessions short & fished a section away from other anglers. Even though the little spotted bass we were catching were smaller than some baits I've used in the past, he was having a great time catching them. He was especially excited to be using his new Ugly Stik Jr. rod that we bought @ Dick's.

All in all, not a bad 1st time out for the little guy.

Cool pics! My 2 year old always wants to "go to the lake!" It's only 4-6 inch sunnies, but to a kid, it's a monster. Start them early.

YES!!!!! I'm looking at pics of mine (16 and 19) when they were 5 and 7 with their first bass at Lake George. Thanks for bringing back some great memories. [up][up]

If you were in Pigeon Forge, I hope this was a trip to Dollywood and the Dixie Stampede! Both are great events for kids. My daughter loved going there more than Disney's overly commercial setting.
