congrats on your fish[up]

wet the fish, then freeze it (some wrap in wet newspaper before freezing, others choose not to)

tie bag good, and freeze FLAT if possible.

take many photos before freezing.

here are 2 steelhead i mounted for a customer last year...

im located in CLIFTON, (Passaic County) within 5 minutes from rts 80, 46, 21, 4, and the parkway..

THE BOTTOM FISH ARE fiberglass steelhead, the upper 2 are skin mount (rainbow and brown trout)

Nice job, Not to rain on your day or anything but you could have gotten a fiderglass repro. done of that fish and released it. All you would need is length and girth mesurments and a few pix to work from.

As I understand it once the skin is preserved it is then painted to resemble the fish.

Anyway just a thought for next time, Congrats on your steelhead I hear they are hard to catch![up
