basically I'm looking for trout streams that will hold trout through out the summer months, streams that don't get "fished out" so to speak. Does anyone know if the Black River has hold over trout or wild trout in it? I know of the Claremont stretch of the Raritan and Ken Lockwood Gorge, but I'm curious of others. Thanks!

Once the water hits 68 to 70 degrees start fishing warm water species like bass. If you catch and release trout they will die from lactic acid build-up in their system from the stress of a fight and release. They will look fine when you release them but they will die a little later.
Stick to put and take streams that don't hold-over trout or harbor wild trout, unless you plan to keep them.
